To work or not to work–that’s the question!
Q: My husband and I have 3 children and he’s been able to support us on one salary. But, with the economy, I’ve been thinking about returning to work. The thing is child care costs for our 11, 8 and 6 yrs old children would be very expensive. Also, with all that they have going on, it would be difficult to pick and deliver to the various activities. What do my numbers say? Thanks, Anna Birthdate is 11-14-1970. more

Career Coach Caroline
Harrison: I started a new job about 3 months ago and I’m now managing people which I’ve never done before. Morale on my new team is low since the company laid people off recently. How do I start the New Year as a confident boss they will trust and respect? I don’t want to let them see me sweat!

Now 65, Sajak says that he would think twice about having a drink citing he was much younger back then and the show was different. Find out what else Pat had to say.

Happy New Year friends and relations! Our meditative discussion comes from a friend overseas who reminds us of Buddha’s wisdom. Enjoy
The Buddha explained how to handle insult and maintain compassion. One day Buddha was walking through a village. A very angry and rude young man came up and began insulting him. “You have no right to teach others,” he shouted. “You are as stupid as everyone else. You are nothing but a fake.” Buddha was not upset by these insults. Instead he asked the young man “Tell me, if you buy a gift for someone, and that person does not take it, to whom does the gift belong ?” The man was surprised to be asked such a strange question and answered, “It would belong to me, because I bought the gift.” The Buddha smiled and said, “That is correct, and it is exactly the same with your anger. If you become angry with me and I do not get insulted, then the anger falls back on you. You are then the only one who becomes unhappy, not me. All you have done is hurt yourself. If you want to stop hurting yourself, you must get rid of your anger and become loving instead. When you hate others, you yourself become unhappy. But when you love others, everyone is happy.”
