Tonight was one for the history books when President Barack Obama announced that Osama bin Laden, the leader of al Qaeda and the man behind the 9/11 attacks, was dead. After nearly ten years of searching, bin Laden was killed by U.S. forces in a mansion near the Pakistani capital of Islamabad.
As a result of this announcement, the U.S. State Department is expected to send out a “worldwide caution” for Americans fearing backlash from al Qaeda supporters.
